Our Vision: LOVE God. Love Other. Love Archway.
For nearly 200 years, St John’s has been a place of worship, community, and mission—where generations have sought God, grown together, and served Archway and Upper Holloway. As we step into a new season, we continue this legacy, standing on the shoulders of those who have gone before us. Our vision is simple:
Love God, Love Each Other, Love Archway.
This is the heartbeat of our church, shaping who we are and how we live. This is not just a statement—it’s an invitation. We believe God is doing something new at St John’s, and we’d love for you to play your part in this story—to seek God first, to belong in community, and to make space for others to encounter Jesus.
-
We are a worshipping church, centred on Jesus, seeking His presence through Spirit-filled worship, prayer, and Scripture. Before anything else, we seek to Love God with all we are (Matthew 22:37).
-
Church is home and family. We are committed to deep, authentic relationships—caring, encouraging, and making room for others to belong as we journey together as followers of Jesus.. John 13:34-35
-
We exist for those beyond our walls, sharing the hope of Jesus through service, generosity, and mission in Archway and Upper Holloway. Matthew 28:19-20
Our Mission: Come, Belong, Serve, Give.
Our vision shapes who we are, but our mission is how we live it out. At St John’s, we believe that faith is active—it calls us to step in, to participate, and to build together. Our mission is simple:
Come, Belong, Serve, Give.
This is how we respond to God’s call, growing as disciples and making space for others to encounter His love. Whether you are new or have been part of St John’s for years, we invite you to step in and play your part in what God is building here.

Loving God starts with showing up. We gather to worship, pray, and encounter His presence. When we come together, we are reminded of who we are and whose we are. If you’ve never come before, you are so welcome (Psalm 95:6, Hebrews 10:25)!
-
To be a Christian is to be part of a family. Belonging means being known, valued, and connected. It’s about sharing life, investing in relationships, and making space for others to find a home. Church isn’t just an event; it’s a community where we stand and journey together. No matter where you are on your journey of faith, you can come and belong (Acts 2:42-47, John 13:34-35).
-
Loving God and loving each other overflows into loving Archway. To be part of church is to partner in God’s mission. And everyone has a role to play. Serving isn’t just about filling a rota; it’s about joining in. Where might God be calling you to serve in this season (1 Peter 4:10, Mark 10:45)?

We give joyfully because God has given everything for us. We give generously because we want to reflect His heart. We give sacrificially because we long for others to taste the life of His kingdom. Giving is an act of worship, trust, and faith—an invitation to partner with God in what He is doing. At St John’s, we invite you to step into this rhythm of generosity, not just to sustain the church, but to see lives transformed. (2 Corinthians 9:7)
